Randy Randy Santa Ana: President
from Stafford, Texas
Class of 2015

University of Texas at Austin

BBA in MIS and Accounting

About Me
Sup y'all! I'm a double longhorn who will forever bleed orange. I am originally from Stafford, TX on the Southwest side of Htown. When I'm not busy studying (which is more often than you think), you can find me on the field or a court playing with balls :) (obviously referring to football and basketball.) I also love collecting sneakers, trying out new food joints, especially food trucks, and exploring all that Austin has to offer. As far as law school goes, I'm active in the Legal Eagles football team, the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal, Texas Business Law Society (this is our first semester so please join!), and of course ALSA. I know how scary and intimidating 1L year can be, so if y'all have any questions please feel free to reach out!

Mandy Mandy Nguyen: Vice President Internal
from Houston, Texas
Class of 2016

Texas A&M University

Psychology MinorinSociology

About Me
Howdy! Although an Aggie at heart, I have found my new home here in Austin at the The University of Texas School of Law. I spend most of my free-time watching TV with my dog, Hailey. Iím very drawn to the horror genre, so if anyone wants to watch a scary movie but not alone, Iím always down! Also I like to eat out, especially steak or sushi. Other than that, Iím always open to making new friends and having a good time!

Reeya Pic[1] Reeya Thakrar: Vice President External
from Plano, Texas
Class of 2016

University of Texas at Austin
Electrical Engineering

About Me
Hi ya'll! I am a soon-to-be double longhorn who loves everything about UT, (#texasstrong). I grew up in Plano, TX and love to travel! I majored in Electrical Engineering at UT and spent almost four years at IBM before law school. I plan to practice patent law post-graduation, so feel free to ask any IP-related questions! Also like the rest of the officers, I understand 1L is a tough year so please reach out to me if you need anything at all! Other than that, I hope everyone has a great year =) Hook em horns!!!

David Xu David Xu: Treasurer
from Katy, Texas
Class of 2016

University of Texas at Austin
Biomedical Engineering

About Me
I'm a Texan native, born and raised. I came into law school straight after receiving my engineering degree from the University of Texas, and want to practice patent law. I currently serve on the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association executive board and have a passion for helping minorities in underrepresented fields. In my spare time, I am an amateur photographer and always enjoy a new TV show to binge watch. I also love to meet new people so please come by and introduce yourself!

Jenna Jenna Malawi: Alumni Director
from "No one knows"
Class of 2016

The University of Chicago
English Language and Literature
About Me
Half Korean and half Syrian, I am a nomad by blood and by nature. Iíve lived everywhere, but perhaps most notably I spent my formative years in Hong Kong, Lebanon, and Chicago. I came to UT from Washington, D.C., where I worked at the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences for three years prior to law school. I love coffee, food, sailing, and pretty much anything by Henry James and Flannery O'Connor. I have only one team, and they are the Chicago Bulls. Come talk to me about science, books, andóof courseóanything related to law school. Iím so excited for another great year with ALSA, and I hope to see you at our next event!

peng Joe Kirby: LLM Coordinator
from San Antonio, TX
Class of 2016

University of the Incarnate Word
English B.A. & Business B.B.A

About Me
Howdy, my name is Joe Kirby, and I am excited to serve as the LLM Coordinator of ALSA this year. I am a non-traditional student who graduated from college in May 2008, and then lived, worked, and studied in China for five years. I came back to Texas to eat steaks regularly, be close to family, and attend law school. I plan to return to China for work after I graduate. In my free time, I enjoy reading up on China's business and legal environment, brushing up on my Chinese language skills, and exercising.
