thomas Thomas Mathew: President
from Trivandrum, India
Class of 2014

University of Texas at Austin
Biomedical Engineering
Economics

About Me
I'm a dabbler, and I love to dabble. Dabbling in a little of everything makes life interesting for me. In school, I dabbled in Engineering and in Economics before I started dabbling in Law (which I hope will be more than a dabble). I've dabbled in boxing, rock climbing, camping, fishing, painting, and violining (?) to name a few. Most of all, I dabble in food--I love trying out new cuisines. So invite me out if you're going to try something interesting, and I'll return the favor! By the way, my field of choice is Patent Law, but I'd be delighted to help you with any questions you have about anything at all (or at least refer you to someone).

christine Christine Lu: Vice President Internal
from Houston, Texas
Class of 2014

Rhodes College
Business Administration
Economics

About Me
Hey y'all, I'm extremely excited to be finishing up my third year of law school with all my ALSA friends! I hail from Houston, TX where I grew up nerding out to classical piano, cross-examination debate, and way too many extracurricular activities to tally. My undergraduate experience chilled me out a little bit, and I hope to incorporate my business background into my legal practice in the future. In my free time, I like to cycle around Austin, read for pleasure, and watch Netflix documentaries on interesting obscure topics. I would love to talk to you about my experiences or my involvement in Mock Trial, ALSA, Assault and Flattery, or the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal.

Randy Pic[1] Randy Santa Ana: Vice President External
from Houston
Class of 2015

University of Texas at Austin
BBA in MIS and Accounting

About Me
Sup y'all! I'm a double longhorn who will forever bleed orange. I am originally from Stafford, TX on the Southwest side of Htown. When I'm not busy studying (which is more often than you think), you can find me on the field or a court playing with balls J (obviously referring to football and basketball.) I also love collecting sneakers, trying out new food joints, especially food trucks, and exploring all that Austin has to offer. As far as law school goes, I'm active in the Legal Eagles football team, the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal, Texas Business Law Society (this is our first semester so please join!), and of course ALSA. I know how scary and intimidating 1L year can be, so if y'all have any questions please feel free to reach out!

AshleyKim Ashley J. Kim: Treasurer
from Dallas, Texas
Class of 2015

University of Texas at Austin
Government
minor in Korean Studies

About Me
My name is Ashley and I am so excited to be a part of ALSA! I was ALSA'S 1L Representative - Officer Liason my 1L year. I enjoyed the experience throughly and believe it is a great organization that guides you through academics as well as provides fun social events and friends. I am originally from the Dallas area, but went to UT for undergrad. I'm pursuing an interest in transactional law, and am a member of the Texas Law Review as well as the Hodges Society. I am also interested in pro bono work, mostly to do with domestic violence victims. Outside of school, I love to hike, read, travel, and try new foods.

Qiong Wang: Alumni Director
from Houston
Class of 2014

Beijing Normal University
Baylor College of Medicine

peng Peng Liu: LLM Coordinator
from Dalian, PRC
Class of 2014

Dalian Maritime University
Maritime Law

About Me
ALSA is an awesome association where you will feel like home. I'm glad to be this year's LLM coordinator to explore Austin with you guys together! I love trying new things, hanging out with friends and cooking. (I found myself a big fan of curry recently.) Join us! Law school will not be as boring as you thought with cool friends from ALSA!
