Linda Janette Peña
Linda Janette Peña, ’13, is CHLSA’s Alumni Relations Director. A Brownsville native, she was the first in her family to graduate from high school and college, and the first to attend professional school. She graduated from Southwestern University in 2010 with a double major in International Studies and Spanish. In the spring of 2009, she studied abroad at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in Chile. Throughout college and law school, she has participated in organizations dedicated to raising awareness of the issues that the American Hispanic community faces. During the summer of 2011, she interned for both the Honorable Jorge Solis in the Northern District of Texas and Texas RioGrande Legal Aid in Brownsville. She is currently a staff editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal and is working to attend the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna in the Spring of 2012.

Duties Include: Maintaining and improving contact with CHLSA alumni and Hispanic attorneys in Texas; Arranging programs that bring together Members with attorneys; Working with the Development Committee to coordinate panels, discussions, and events; Serves as representative to the Career Services Office and other employment networks and resources, and providing alumni and employment information to the Members.
