James Magown

James Magown was born in Houston and split time between Punta Cardón, Venezuela and Bellaire, Texas as a child. Magown attended Bellaire High School and the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with dual degrees in Plan II Honors and Sport Management. Magown is currently in his second year at the School of Law.

Last summer, Magown interned alongside CHLSA President Javi Pérez in the labor and employment division at Monty & Ramírez LLP in Houston. Magown’s interests in sports, music, sports, and music. Magown loves playing pickup basketball and pickup soccer (as a goalkeeper). Magown was elected to be the Intramural Sports Chair for the 2011-2012 school year. Duties Include: Signing up for intramural sports (flag football, volleyball, basketball), coordinating practices, raising morale with his cheery spirit, comedic relief, designing alternate logos for the organization.
