Annual Cultural Celebration and Silent Auction
For over 10 years, the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students’ Association has hosted distinguished guests including Texas legislators, judges, and prominent community leaders to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments and prepare ourselves to meet new challenges and set additional goals to advance Hispanic/Latino issues within the law school and in Texas.
In attendance at this event are attorneys and UT alumni from all over the state, as well as current law students and various student leaders from Texas universities. We also welcome various organizations including the Texas Association of Mexican-American Chambers of Commerce, Hispanic Graduate Business Association, Hispanic Bar Association of Texas, as well as Texas law firms and businesses.
A silent auction with goods and service provided by local businesses is also held to raise funds for scholarships for low-income students so that they may complete their legal education and aid their communities.
