2008 CHLSA Banquet - A Cultural Celebration and Silent Auction
The Chicano/Hispanic Law Students’ Association
of the University of Texas Announces its 33rd Annual Cultural
Celebration and Awards Banquet
The University of Texas
School of Law and the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students’ Association are
pleased to announce the 33rd Annual Cultural Celebration and
Awards Banquet and to extend invitations to all HBAA members. The event
will be held in the Grand Lobby and Rotunda of the
Bob
Bullock Texas State History Museum, on Saturday, March 29,
2008 at 7:00 p.m.
The Museum’s first floor
exhibit, a fascinating depiction of the early history of Texas, will be
open to all guests.
Our keynote speaker is the Honorable
Judge Hilda G. Tagle, U.S. District Judge of the Southern District
of Texas; she is also a UT Law and CHLSA alumnus.
The banquet enables CHLSA to function
as a support network for Hispanic students and to award its
members scholarships, such as the Textbook, Bar, Public
Interest, and Summer School stipends. In addition, proceeds
from the Silent Auction will help to endow the Dean Aleman
Scholarship.
Individual sponsorships are only $65.00; table
sponsorships and program advertising are also available. To sponsor the
event, donate to the silent auction, and/or R.S.V.P. contact Micah
Miller, at (915) 241-9225 or
micahdmiller@mail.utexas.edu.
