How we accept cases
The Domestic Violence Clinic accepts cases through requests for
assistance from individuals and organizations serving victims of
domestic violence.
Description
The Domestic Violence Clinic provides clients, unable to afford
private attorneys, the opportunity for legal assistance. Typical clients are
victims of domestic violence seeking legal assistance with divorce, custody,
protective orders, modification and/or enforcement of existing custody and child
support orders. Clients of the clinic often face a variety of problems, both
legal and non-legal. The Clinic works with DVSSN to takes a holistic approach to
representation; therefore, students assist clients with safety planning,
avoiding eviction and/or utility cut-offs, obtaining public assistance, finding
