What is The Domestic Violence
Survivor Support Network

Mission
An organization of students from the University of Texas at Austin from within the School of Law, School of Social Work, and McCombs School of Business, working together to help survivors of domestic violence in the Central Texas area. This volunteer organization is committed to helping the survivors realize economic and life empowerment. Volunteers help survivors build strong futures through planning a manageable budget, finding and keeping employment, creating individualized safety plans for home and work, and building a strong community of survivors.

History
The support network began when a small group of determined and compassionate individuals decided to take action and make a difference in the lives of some of the survivors of the UT Austin Domestic Violence Clinic.  Working with UT Law School faculty students and soliciting new membership has allowed the center to grow and intern expand the services DVSSN can provide survivors of domestic violence.

Members
Members are comprised of University of Texas Law School, School or Social Work, and Business School Students. All are welcome to join. If you are interested in participating please e-mail us.

Special Thanks to our Sponsors
DVSSN could not do it alone. We want to especially thank those business, organizations, and individuals who have generously contributed to our efforts to help support domestic violence survivors.

If you or your company would like to help make a difference and provide DVSSN with a financial contribution please e-mail us.
