Samuel Rettew is a 3L at the University of Texas School of Law. He has participated in OUTLaw for the past two years and previously served as social coordinator for the 2010-2011 academic year. In addition to his work with OUTLaw, Samuel is the Chief Articles Editor of the American Journal of Criminal Law (AJCL). Prior to that, he served as the Research Editor of AJCL. After his 1L year, he interned at the 1st Court of Appeals of Texas for Justice Jane Bland. After graduation, he intends to return to his hometown of Houston where he will begin work in a transactional practice focusing on oil and gas clients. Outside of law school he enjoys reading judicial biographies, playing with his new bull-terrier puppy Frankie (a.k.a. keeping her from eating his house), and long walks on the beach.
