Daniel Collins, '12, is OUTLaw's website and newsletter director. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, where he participated in and later taught at the University's Law School Preparation Institute. In summer 2011, Daniel clerked for two civil defense firms in El Paso, Texas, where he worked on employment, business, and general litigation matters. Since beginning law school, he also interned with The Honorable David Briones, Senior United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Texas, El Paso Division, and Texas state senator Senator José Rodríguez during the 82nd Texas Legislative Session. In addition to his responsibilities to OUTLaw, Daniel serves as an Articles and Notes editor for the Texas International Law Journal (TILJ), is the newsletter editor for UT Law's Chicano/Hispanic Law Students' Association (CHLSA), and serves as website manager for the Board of Advocates. He has previously served as a Notes Editor for the Texas Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy (THJLP) and competed as an oral advocate and brief writer for the Law School's American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy regional moot court team in Seattle, Washington.
