Cassandra McCrae
Cassandra McCrae, '14, is OUTLaw's Internal Vice President. Before coming to Austin, Cassie worked as an organizer with an environmental justice organization serving the coalfield communities of southwest Pennsylvania and spent a year in western Maryland as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, majoring in anthropology, and earned a master's degree in social sciences at the University of Chicago. Cassie came to UT as its 2014 Equal Justice Scholarship recipient. She is involved with the Public Interest Law Association, serves on the Student Advisory Board of the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law, and is a member of the Texas Environmental Law Journal. Cassie hopes to pursue a career in environmental law and will be spending her 1L summer at the Tallahassee office of Earthjustice.
