Welcome to the UT Law Youth Court Website!
The UT Law Youth Court believes that students belong in classrooms, and that disciplinary systems that remove students from their learning environments can lead to early involvement in the justice system and demoralize students rather than motivate them to succeed in school. Instead, our Youth Court students play an active role in supporting each other and improving their school community. Youth Court students learn about restorative justice, the legal system, and citizenship. They help peers stay in the classroom by addressing their behavior, strengths, areas of need, and working on concrete plans to restore students to good standing in the school.
