How to Contribute to Student Legal Publications at Texas
THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SCHOOL OF LAW STUDENT-EDITED PUBLICATIONS
Providing support for superb publications distributed to a worldwide audience of legal practitioners.
While the student-edited legal periodicals listed to the right are published under the umbrella of the UT Law
Publications department, no financial support is guaranteed by the University. Journal and Review fiscal
management poses unique challenges for our full time student-lawyers.
Fiscal expenses include:
- Host to CLE-accredited symposia and lecture series.
expenses include
marketing, speaker fees, travel and board, venue rental, catering, transcript production.
- Administrative resources.
expenses include
edit and pre-press office equipment and services, edit meeting supplies and books,
phone service, shipping, printing/photocopies.
- Article distribution.
expenses include
hardcopy and electronic media availability, abstracts, archives.
- Marketing.
expenses include
web service and maintenance, online payment management, communications, solicitations.
- Development.
expenses include
staff recruitment and recognition, socials/mixers, annual award banquets, valued alumni
stewardship.
Your contribution will relieve these very real pressures so our talented volunteer-students may
focus on the critical pursuit of journal productivity as measured primarily by article citation frequency.
Contributions to our journals and reviews are tax-deductible; the University will provide you with a
receipt. Also, the Law School can provide the application for Matching Funds for employers who
participate in this program. All contributions will be noted in the Dean’s Townes Hall Notes alumni magazine.
Unless otherwise noted, all donations go toward the operations costs of the journal. If you would like to make
a donation for a specific purpose, please indicate this on the check, or letter accompanying it.
We think you will be impressed with the results and proud to be associated with The University of Texas School
of Law. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. |
