The Review of Litigation (TROL) is pleased to announce the availability of Volumes 27, 28 as well as the upcoming Volume 29:1-4 (2009-2010). TROL seeks to advance legal scholarship through feature articles, essays, and notes relevant to a national and international audience of legal scholars and practitioners. As the first journal devoted exclusively to the topics related to trial and appellate advocacy, TROL publishes papers on evidentiary, procedural, and substantive issues. TROL addresses the needs of both academia and the practicing attorney with a pragmatic examination of current litigation issues. TROL’s recent articles include: “The Enigma of Standing Doctrine in Texas Courts,” by William V. Dorsaneo, III; “The Curious Appellate Judge: Ethical Limits on Independent Research,” by Heather P. Scribner; “Finding the Tort of Terrorism in International Law,” by Beth Van Schaack; “What’s New in Asbestos Litigation?” by Mark A. Behrens; and “Choice of Forum in Securities Class Actions: Confronting ‘Reform’ of the Securities Act of 1933,” by Matthew O’Brien. Volume 29 will continue TROL’s commitment to publication of compelling legal literature and pieces with a practical flavor. It will include articles by Steven Goode, Jeffrey W. Stempel, David S. Coale, Rebecca L. Visosky, and Diana K. Cochrane, and Nicholas R. Weiskopf and Matthew S. Mulqueen discussing topics as diverse as judicial recusal, contractual waiver of the right to remove, and arbitral awards. In February of 2010, TROL will host the Symposium, “White Collar Crime and the Changing Corporate Environment,” which will feature speakers including judges from around the country and leading attorneys in the field of white collar crime. In an increasingly complex legal environment, TROL is committed to providing a wealth of legal expertise and debate. |
