Description
This is an intermediate course in civil litigation skills and is a highly recommended prerequisite to the Advanced Civil Litigation class. Students will focus on techniques such as preparing for and taking a deposition, drafting and responding to discovery, e-issues, courtroom technology and motion practice. This class is primarily a skill-based class with heavy emphasis on the use of courtroom technology. While there are some lecture sessions, students will spend most weeks "learning by doing" in small groups. Required Prerequisites: Evidence and a Texas Procedure class (Procedure can be taken concurrently), Advocacy Survey or Intensive trial Skills.
