This course is restricted to upper division students only.
Description
This two-credit course focuses on using legal arguments to persuade appellate judges. The course will introduce the form and writing style of an appellate brief. The course also covers oral argument before an appellate panel. All students will be required to write a complete appellate brief and make an oral argument; students will also complete several smaller assignments designed to prepare them to complete these larger assignments.
This course is pass/fail.
