Description
This course will explore the legal issues involved when drafting, negotiating and enforcing software licenses. The course consists of a series of class meetings that correspond to the main provisions of a software license (license grant, indemnification, warranties, etc.) and focus on the way the law has developed in each area. It will also feature classes on issues such as the increasing importance of open source licensing models and questions of enforceability of shrink-wrap and on-line ("click-through") license formats.
