This course is restricted to upper division students only.

This course introduces the form and writing style of an appellate brief.  The focus is on using facts and legal authority to persuade appellate judges.  The course also covers oral argument before an appellate panel.  All students will be required to make two oral arguments and write two short appellate briefs.

Graded:  pass/fail.
