Description
This course will cover current health care business and regulatory matters, including (1) alleged illegal activities by managed care health plans; (2) prohibitions against the "corporate" practice of medicine and fee-splitting by physicians; (3) laws prohibiting payments or benefits by hospitals to doctors for referrals of patients; (4) anti-competitive and fraudulent actions by some health care providers; and (5) noncompetition agreements, contractual disputes, and tortious interference claims within the health care industry.
