Description
This course will cover the traditional areas of platting and zoning, and will also consider the roles of utility supply, transportation, local environmental law and the offer of public financial assistance as incentives or disincentives to development. The course will be a two credit hour course and will meet on Wednesday afternoons except for the period of mid-October to early November when the teacher will be traveling abroad. Course materials are unlikely to include a formal textbook but will be a collection of materials written or edited by the teacher to be purchased at the Sales Office. Class sessions will likely include visits by past and present City Attorneys for Texas cities and other officials involved in population growth and development issues.
