This course is restricted to upper division students only.
Description
This course provides a basic introduction to public international law. It will survey the basic principles of international law including subjects and sources of international law, the law and interpretation of treaties, the relationship between international law and United States law, and jurisdictional competencies. It will also examine a number of specific subjects including the use of force, human rights, humanitarian law, and international criminal law.
