Central to the course are issues arising out of confidentiality concerns, including the lawyer's duty to preserve a client's confidences, conflicts issues, restrictions on communications with another lawyer's client, and conduct during trial. The course will also cover issues involving the nature of the lawyer-client relationship, such as fees and client autonomy, as well as issues regarding the regulation of the legal profession.
