Description
The seminar covers various theories and philosophical perspectives on intellectual property. We will critically examine different theoretical frameworks for describing and justifying intellectual property rights including economic analysis, natural rights arguments, personality-based conceptions, democratic theory, and authorship theory. Students are expected to write a substantial research paper. A considerable part of the second half of the seminar will be devoted to working on students' individual research projects.
