Registration Information
This course is restricted to upper division students only.

This course covers basic legal doctrines and policy concerns of United States patent law.  Instruction will particularly involve questions of how to assess patent claims' scope and validity, as well as ways of arguing about what the content of patent law should be.  There are no specific prerequisites.  No technical background is required.
