Description
This course will be conducted as an intensive workshop for 12 students to work on oral and written advocacy skills that would readily translate to any contemporary law practice.  Each week will involve in-class persuasive writing and speaking exercises and team projects.  Students will conduct research, draft components of a brief, receive feedback, and revise a final "mini brief" that can serve as a professional writing sample.  The course will end with a moot court experience where each student will have a chance to argue both sides of a complex issue before a panel of judges.
