1970s

Graham Hill (MPAff '73) joined Heard Robins Cloud & Black, LLP as a partner in March.

John Rooney, Jr. (MPAff '79) is an attorney who specialized in international business matters, including international arbitrations and insurance matters. His firm, John H. Rooney, Jr., P.A., is based in Miami, Fla.

1980s

Paul Goren (MPAff '84) joined CASEL in April as vice president for research and knowledge use. Previously he was a senior advisor to the Chicago Public Schools and the University of Chicago Urban Education Institute.

Richard Kinscherff (MPAff '85) is the chief finance office, international financer with The Boeing Company in Chicago, Ill.

Carl Reynolds (MPAff '85) has taken a new position with the Council of State Governments Justice Center after a long career at the State of Texas Office of Court of Administration. His writes he "will focus primarily on criminal justice topics including the school discipline issue that is before our Texas Judicial Council - Juvenile Justice Committee."

Phil Smith (MPAff '85) is the director of communication for the United Mine Workers of America in Triangle, Va.

Daniel Wattles (MPAff '86) is the director of government relations for the Texas Municipal Retirement System.

1990s

Merrill Shepherd King (MPAff '95) is finance director for the City of Minnetonka, Minn.

N. Bird Runningwater (MPAff '96) is the Sundance Institute Director of Native American and Indigenous Programs. He accepted the Lake Arrowhead Film Festival’s Outstanding Contribution to Native American Film award on May 20th at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa.

Debra Wanser (MPAff '99) was quoted in the Rio Grande Valley's The Monitor's April 8, 2012 article "HIRE preps students with disabilities for jobs." Wanser is commissioner for the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, which oversees the program featured.

2000 to 2009

Rosie Truelove (MPAff '00) works at the City of Austin. She is the director of the Contract Management Department.

Cassius Johnson (MPAff '02) has accepted the role of program officer at Carnegie Corporation of New York. He will work on the foundation's New Designs for Pathways program, which focuses on K-16 education.

Jason Batchelor (MPAff '04) is finance director for the City of Aurora, Colo.

Alida Gallardo (MPAff '04) is the vice president of development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas.

Darlene Lanham (MPAff '05) is communications manager with Texas Nursery and Landscape Association.

Tedd Holladay (MPAff '07) started a new position in April with the Council of State Governments Justice Center in Austin. He conducts research on criminal justice issues and provides data-driven solutions to increase public safety and improve outcomes in states across the country. Previously he served as a senior analyst with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

Leslie Lukens (MPAff '08) is an assistant vice president and senior municipal credit analyst for Cavanal Hill Investment Management in Richardson, Texas.

Gretchen Tietje (MPAff '09) completed her first rotation with the U.S. Department of State in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico in May. She begins a two-year tour as an environment, science, technology, and health officer in Ottawa, Canada in August.

Martha Bloem (MPAff '10) is a senior program officer at the Institute of International Education's Scholar Rescue Fund in New York.

Camielle L. Compton (MPAff '10) accepted a new position with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She is a program specialist in the National Institute of Food and Agriculture Institute of Food Production & Sustainability in Washington, D.C.

Lauren Dooley (MPAff '10) will pursue a master of accounting degree at Texas A&M, Corpus Christi.

Orly Shturman Cohen (MPAff '10) is a buyer for Greenling in Dallas.

Amber Stolpe (MPAff '11) accepted a U.S. Department of Energy "ORISE" fellowship to work with the the Centers for Disease Control's Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention in Atlanta.
