The Graduate Public Affairs Council (GPAC) is the student governing body for the LBJ School. The group includes students who have been elected as class representatives, school-wide committee representatives, and representatives to the university-wide Cabinet of College Councils and UT Student Association. Committee assignments within GPAC involve students in policy decisions in such areas as student admissions, faculty recruitment, internships and placement, library acquisitions, joint degree programs, and graduation ceremonies. GPAC also sponsors a variety of activities each year, including short courses that bring experts to the School to teach topics not covered in the regular curriculum.
