N THE WAKE of the September 11th tragedy, a heightened spirit of public service emerged in the United States. When coupled with the need for fresh thinking about public policy, this increased desire to serve led to a surge in the number of individuals pursuing graduate education in public affairs and careers in the public sector. The LBJ School Master’s degree program continues to grow, and an increase in the size and number of student fellowships is essential to attract the best students.
