Annual Event Challenges Students The competition was tight and the stakes were high at this year's LBJ School Consulting Challenge, held on October 13 in Sid Richardson Hall. The annual competition is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in public sector consulting. This year's case, presented by Deloitte Consulting, was "The State of Meridian, Department of Information System Program Management Office Project." Participating in four-member teams, students acted as management consultants to analyze the case and present recommendations to a panel of judges composed of LBJ School faculty members and representatives of Deloitte Consulting. First-place winners each received $500.00, second-place winners received $250.00, and third-place winners received $100.00 gift certificates to the restaurants of their choice. Debra Dzwonczyk, director of the LBJ School's Career Services Office, coordinated the event.
