LBJ School Students Recognize Faculty for Outstanding Teaching

On May 2 the GPAC Brown Bag and Faculty Recruitment Committees in connection with the LBJ School Dean's Office sponsored the annual presentation of the LBJ School Faculty Appreciation Awards. The awards recognize faculty members across six different categories, including most engaging teaching style, most valuable class, and best new professor. Award nominations are selected by the students of the LBJ School, and winners are chosen by the number of nominations they receive.

This year's winners are:

• Most Engaging Teaching Style - Dr. Chandler Stolp
• Most Helpful to Students - Dr. Patrick Wong
• Most Committed to the LBJ School - Professor Elspeth Rostow
• Best Managed Policy Research Project - Dr. Charles Groat, Assessment of Oil and Gas Development on U.S. Public Lands
  • First Honorable Mention - Associate Dean Robert Wilson, Business and Economic Development in East Austin
  • Second Honorable Mention - Dr. Catherine Clark, Secondary Education in the U.S.
• Most Valuable Class - Dr. Kenneth Ashworth, Advanced Public Management
• Best New Professor - Ambassador Gregory Engle
