LBJ and CPG to Host Three Events on Future of Conservatism in America

David Frum, Mickey Edwards to discuss new books at LBJ School events;
Center for Politics and Governance hosts Future of the Republican Party forum

The Center for Politics and Governance at the LBJ School of Public Affairs will be hosting three events that spotlight the past, present, and future of the conservative movement in America. After playing host this year to a panoply of political guests including Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Democratic advisors Ted Van Dyk and James Johnson, former advisors to President George W. Bush Dan Bartlett, Matthew Dowd, and Allyson Ho, and the February 21st Democratic Presidential Debate, the LBJ School of Public Affairs will host conservative authors David Frum and Mickey Edwards, as well as a panel discussion on the Future of the Republican Party. The event details are as follows:

On Wednesday April 23 at 12:15 pm noted Conservative Commentator and former speech writer for President George W. Bush David Frum will be speaking on his new book Comeback: Conservatism that can Win Again. The panel discussion The Future of the Republican Party on Wednesday, will be held on April 23 at 6:00 PM at the UT Club. The event will feature former speech writer for President George W. Bush and noted conservative commentator David Frum; former republican Congressman and co-founder of the Heritage Foundation, Mickey Edwards, Justice of the Texas Supreme Court Dale Wainwright; Solicitor General of Texas, Ted Cruz; and the Chair-elect of the Travis County Republican Party, Dr. Rosemary Edwards.
