LBJ School takes on Bush School in ‘Dillo Cup Challenge

The 9th Annual 'Dillo Cup Challenge will take place on Saturday April 12 at the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The LBJ School of Public Affairs' Bleeding Hearts have beat the Bush School of Government and Public Service’s Bushwhackers in both of the last two years, making Dean James B. Steinberg the only undefeated Dean in 'Dillo Cup history.

The event will begin at 1:00 pm with the Hall of Fame Game, featuring past and current LBJ faculty, staff, and students. The 'Dillo Cup will begin at 2:20 with the singing of the national anthem and a performance by the UT Color Guard followed by the game. The post-game picnic will begin at 4:00 pm and will be catered by Artz Rib House (vegetarian options will be available).

Additionally, the Bush School and the LBJ School will be collecting canned food to donate to Caritas of Austin. Caritas of Austin is an organization that helps fight hunger, poverty and homelessness in Travis County. This year, more than 20,000 adults and children have received assistance from Caritas. Please bring non-perishable food to donate.
