The Great Society Fund, a group of students and alumni at the LBJ School, will host its annual fundraiser on Thursday, April 10th at 7 pm at Dominican Joe’s on South Congress. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the door, or contributions can be made directly to the fund online at http://www.greatsocietyfund.com/
The Great Society Fund supports LBJ student and alumni ventures that promote lasting improvements to our neighborhoods, nations, and world. GSF was created by LBJ students in the spring of 2005, and is overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of current LBJ students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the LBJ School.
The Board believes that LBJ students and alumni have the skills and drive to become social entrepreneurs. The Board also believes that it is the responsibility of the LBJ community to assist fellow students and alumni in their efforts to change the world, which means that our fundraising is done within the LBJ community. Great Society Fund grants are available to current and former LBJ School students who are leading or seeking to lead a non-profit, start-up initiatives and new programs focused on social change.
