Prince Awarded Highest West Point Alumnus Honor Dr. Howard T. Prince II, director of the Center for Ethical Leadership at The University of Texas at Austin's LBJ School of Public Affairs, was presented with the Distinguished Graduate Award by the Association of Graduates of the United States Military Academy at West Point. The Distinguished Graduate Award is given to West Point graduates whose character, distinguished service, and stature exemplify the qualities of West Point's motto of "Duty, Honor, Country." Dr. Prince served more than 28 years in the United States Army, and upon his retirement in 1990 was promoted to Brigadier General and presented with the army's highest award for service, the Distinguished Service Medal. He is an honor graduate of West Point, and he holds an M.A. in international relations from American University and a Ph.D. in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. Previous recipients of the Distinguished Graduate Award include Brent Scowcroft, astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, Norman Schwarzkopf, Alexander Haig and Mathew Ridgeway. |
