School invites memorial contributions to Barbara Jordan scholars program

Anyone who would like to make a contribution to the LBJ School in memory of Barbara Jordan is invited to contribute to the scholarship program that bears her name.

The Barbara Jordan Scholars Program, created in 1988, supports students with strong leadership potential who are pursuing their master's degree at the LBJ School. The program provides $10,000 each year for the two-year master's program and $5,000 for the required summer internship. Its goal is to help develop future leaders who will follow in the footsteps of Barbara Jordan.

Donations to the program qualify as tax deductible contributions. Contributions should be made payable to The University of Texas at Austin and mailed to the Barbara Jordan Scholars Program, LBJ School of Public Affairs, Box Y, Austin, TX 78713-8925.
