Graduation
ceremonies set |

Civil Rights leader Judith A. Winston, acting U.S. Department of Education Under Secretary and general counsel, will be the keynote speaker at the 29th LBJ School graduation convocation. Approximately 90 students will be honored at the ceremony, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m. in Bates Recital Hall. After the convocation, there will be a reception in the Thompson Conference Center. LBJ School students who are graduating may also attend the university's ceremony for master's students on Friday, May 19, at 8 a.m. in Bass Concert Hall. The university-wide 117th commencement, which will be held on Saturday on the South Terrace of the Main Building, begins at 8 p.m. It is preceded by a carillon prelude at 7 p.m. and a concert at 7:20. This year's university commencement speaker is broadcast journalist and noted author Bill Moyers. Tickets are required for all these events. |
