Graduation convocation culminates LBJ School anniversary celebration
George H. W. Bush, 41st president of the United States, will give the main address at the LBJ School's graduation convocation on May 18. Bush's participation in the ceremony is one of the highlights of the school's three-day anniversary celebration and reunion. The convocation will honor both the Class of 2002 and the Class of 1972, the school's first graduating class. Giving remarks on behalf of the Class of 2002 will be Cassius Johnson. Ida Powell will represent the Class of 1972 on stage. Others who have been invited to participate in the ceremony include Mrs. Lyndon Johnson, UT Austin President Larry Faulkner, LBJ Library Director Betty Sue Flowers, and U.S. Ambassador to Australia Tom Schieffer. |
