Dean Dorn will address UT graduates on May 18

LBJ School Dean Ed Dorn has been invited to give the main address at UT Austin's spring commencement. The ceremony will take place on the south terrace of the Main Building at 8 p.m.

Dorn has been dean of the LBJ School since 1997. He previously served for four years as under secretary of defense (personnel and readiness), a presidential appointment. A native of Houston, Dorn graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UT Austin and completed his Ph.D. in political science at Yale. In 1998 he was selected a distinguished alumnus of UT.
