Florence Temple, administrative associate in the Dean's Office, will retire from UT Austin at the end of August. Temple has worked at the LBJ School since 1980, serving first as a faculty assistant and later as assistant to the associate dean. Over the years, Temple has been honored twice for her outstanding job performance. In 1988 Dean Max Sherman presented her with the LBJ Foundation Excellence Award for the consistently high quality of her work, including her support for the faculty recruitment committee. In 1993 she received the LBJ Appreciation Award from members of the LBJ School community in recognition of her positive attitude and contributions to the school. According to Associate Dean Leigh Boske, who has worked with Temple for almost three years, "Florence is the Dean's Office institutional memory and my right arm. She will be sorely missed." |
