The LBJ School is participating in a major UT Austin initiative to raise the level of visibility and support for the university in the larger community. Called "We're Texas," the campaign seeks to ensure UT's future as the flagship university of the state and to show how the university is intrinsically tied to the quality of life in Texas.

In this issue of The Record, several stories have been flagged with the "We're Texas" logo because they show how the university--through the LBJ School--is making a difference in Texas and the world.

For more information on UT's vision for the year 2004, when the campaign ends, and a listing of LBJ School strategic goals, check out the "We're Texas" Web site at http://www.utexas.edu/do/vision.html.
