Knowledge and Policy Action in Urban Development: If We Know so Much, Why Is the Urban Condition not Improving?

This paper argues that effective government action must begin with an understanding of the society, its problems, and the role of government in addressing societal needs. It examines the challenges of integrating research and knowledge into the policymaking process.
