This volume is the product of a two-year intensive study conducted at four Austin Independent School District (AISD) campuses. The report examines various factors affecting student adjustment and achievement in ethnically diverse schools. These factors include the cultural and multicultural climate of school campuses, students' peer and teacher relationships, family influences, and the transition between elementary and middle school.
