Academic
Year 2000-2001
During the 2000-2001 academic year, we developed a series
of briefing papers on possible
private and public initiatives for reducing the number
of uninsured Texans. In March 2001, we brought together
a variety of stakeholders in Texas to explore realistic
options for expanding coverage. By providing a forum
for open discourse, this conference
generated substantive recommendations for future policy.
