The Interactive Budget Project is an ongoing activity of faculty and graduate students at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, the graduate school of public policy at theUniversity of Texas at Austin. The project is investigating the transparency and accessibility of public budgets in open data formats that can be used by Web developers, to help keep citizens informed about public spending, and to increase government accountability and civic participation.
