Description:Dr. Emily Amanatullah will speak about pay equity (women make less than men, but race is a big intervening variable, with white women making more than men of color and women of color making less than both), what policy and community-based steps can be taken to improve things, and what women can do in their own lives to negotiate for better pay and benefits.
