Description:Former Attorney General Ramsey Clark, who served under President Lyndon Baines Johnson, will give a talk titled "From Civil Rights to Human Rights" on Monday, Nov. 12 from noon to 1 PM in the Eidman Courtroom at the UT School of Law.

William Ramsey Clark served under President Johnson as the 66th US Attorney General and played an important role in the administration's civil rights agenda. Thereafter Clark worked as a law professor and became an antiwar and civil rights activist. In 2008 he received the prestigious United Nated Human Rights Prize.

The event is presented by the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice and the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law. The event is also co-sponsored by Public Interest Law Association, Texas Journal of Civil Rights & Civil Liberties, and Thurgood Marshall Legal Society.
