CHASP Professor Cynthia Osborne received the Texas Exes Teaching Award for her "positive influence on the educational experience of university students."
The Texas Exes have honored a faculty member and graduate instructor in each school and college each year since 1982. After accepting nominations from all UT Austin students, a committee from each school selects the award recipients.
Dr. Osborne joined the LBJ School faculty in 2005 as an Assistant Professor at the LBJ School and as an affiliate of the UT Austin Population Research Center. Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of social policy, poverty and inequality, family and child well-being, family demography, and school entry among disadvantaged children.
