About the LBJ School
Founded in 1970, the LBJ School is one of the nation’s most respected institutions for graduate public policy education. Its distinguishing feature is its blend of the academic and the practical. This symposium is an example of the LBJ School’s approach: it was planned by students as part of a year-long seminar about civil rights policy. Over the years, such seminars have provided policy makers with the analyses needed to address a wide range of topics, from improving telephone service for low-income Texans to assessing flood control strategies in the People’s Republic of China. The dean of the LBJ School is Dr. Edwin Dorn.
