Program Coordinator
Ms. Young is the Senior Program Coordinator for the Center for Politics and Governance at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Government and is a fifth-generation Texan and native Austinite.
Kelly began her professional career in 1987 with the Texas State Legislature where she was a Legislative Aide for the Speaker of The Texas House of Representatives. She went on to serve as Executive Director of the Legislative Education Board and later as Policy Director for the House Public Education Committee. After leaving the legislature in 2003, Kelly formed her own consulting company, working with non-profit organizations in the field of public education. She was recruited to the Center For Politics and Governance in December 2010.
