MGPS Dual Degree with Energy and Earth Resources

The LBJ School and the Jackson School of Geosciences offer a dual degree program leading to two graduate degrees, the Master of Global Policy Studies (MGPS) degree and the Master of Arts (MA) in Energy and Earth Resources. The dual degree combines advanced studies of globalization with the study of geosciences and natural resources. The dual degree program provides an advanced understanding of the science, engineering, management and international policy aspects of energy, mineral, and water resources.

Program Structure

Students can earn both degrees simultaneously in approximately three academic years. Degrees are awarded when the required course work in both areas is completed. †Students in the dual degree program take the following courses, which total 67 credit hours of work:

Global Policy Studies

Energy and Earth Resources
