Frances Goff Fellowship
This fellowship was established by Frances Goff
for the purpose of providing a summer policy experience in the Office of
the Texas Governor. The fellowship was created for Girls’ State alumni,
but if none apply, it is open to other applicants.
Award: $3,600, up to four awards
Required Qualifications:
- Be a student in good standing at the LBJ School, having maintained
a 3.5 GPA with no incompletes;
- Have completed five out of the six core courses;
- Be capable of excellent policy analysis;
- Display superior interpersonal skills.
Application Requirements:
- A letter of offer from the office in which the internship will be taken;
- A personal statement describing the student’s policy interests and professional goals;
- A current resume;
- An unofficial graduate transcript;
- A writing sample may be requested.
